Backstay - Turning Block
« on: February 28 2019, 07:43 »
On my B37 2006 the mast backstay has a turning block to allow the cable to be redirected from the centre of the stern in a 'v' shape. It doesn't have to turn very much but I noticed it was not moving at all. This block (Rutgerson) is bi-metal and although cleaned had never been removed and serviced. I have just done this as it was jammed due to the inter-action of the different metals in its construction. Left any longer and it may not have been serviceable - be warned  :kewl
