Solar fans
« on: February 17 2019, 18:09 »
Hey everyone .....  we have a 2007 Vision 40.  It came with the original solar fans pictured here and one has died on us.  We need to replace both but I'm afraid of putting new holes in the deck.  We've tried to figure out who manufactured these to see if we can get a duplicate replacement but no luck identifying the maker.  Any suggestions?  Are we destined to have to purchase a different model?  Thanks!

never saw one of these - so may buttons for a simple fan.
What exactly died? Maybe it is possible to repair rather than replace.

There’s this on eBay in UK.

this looks exactly like the one you have

... and I agree with some of the comments in there that it's not really fit for purpose. I bought one 3 yrs ago and it was fine for a while. However, the sealing has let in water and destroyed the solar panel so now it's basically a very expensive plain ventilator. I will replace it at some point but will seal the panel properly before fitting ...
