2 stroke oil as fuel additive
« on: September 06 2018, 16:03 »
Hi,

Has anyone tried using 2T oil as diesel additive to clean the injectors and lube the fuel pump?

A lot of topics on the net and even ecommended by local VP dealer.

2% is what they're saying but found a contradiction with others stating 200:1

Love to hear your view on this.

Much like Bigfoot, it's a persisting myth that crops up now and then. Science says it's not a good idea: http://www.fuelexpert.co.za/2-stroke-oil-in-diesel-technical-study.php (Skip to the conclusions if you're short on time).

Cheers

That was the 2nd site i saw but what confused me was the comment from the VP dealer promoting it unless it makes it worse and promotes more business for them.

Sasquatch is a myth really.... What's next, Santa?

Take care and i guess better go back to 'Tunap'. Expensive but It's been working great specially for diesel bug.
