Title: Solder Sleeves
Post by: Odysseus on February 11 2019, 16:33
I have just used this product  it's very good so thought  of all you boat owners out there. They made the job so much easier and a good joint.

Put solder sleeves into Ebay or Google.

Hope this helps

A useful looking product - thanks for posting. Do they need a flame to work or would a hot air gun suffice?

Thanks Bill, they look like a great idea.  I’ll have to get some and try them out.

Actually an electric heat gun is the correct way to work with them, but as with heatshrink insulation a lighter or a small torch will do the job, taking care regarding the open flame.

That's comforting - not too keen on open flame when working in a confined space. It's OK on a bench but not 'in situ'  :P
