Testing an st60 speedometer and windmeterhi
« on: March 03 2019, 20:12 »
Hi !
My speed shows 000 even turned by hand rapidly and wind - - - and no direction. Raymarine suggests to run a test with a electronic tester turned to 20v DC .  But mentions a “shield” connection that behind the screen is not present ! Any clues ???

Shield is the foil in the transmitter cable. Unplug  the connections and give them a clean (spray with WD 40 or similar). Do this with all connections in the back of the instruments including the seatalk plugs. Salt air is not good for electrical connections.

Saw this on eBay, it might help when checking your wind meter.
